How collections are curated
XCH.gallery is a curated gallery, not a mirror of every collection on chain. Every collection is weighed the same way, against the factors below. That is the whole list.
Size
Big enough for rarity to mean something, small enough for the gallery to host well. Collections that are still growing are welcome.
Holders
Held by a good spread of collectors, not concentrated in a few wallets. Holders are counted by Chia DID, since one collector keeps NFTs at many addresses.
Trading
A real history of trades over the life of the collection, not one big sale. A quiet few months never counts against an established collection.
Rarity
Traits we can rank and reproduce, or a ranking the collection already uses that is worth showing on its own terms.
Farmers Market history
Collections listed on Farmers Market get a small preference here. XCH.gallery is its successor, so they have a head start.
Standing
Collections flagged for content or suspicious activity are not listed, and neither is anything we cannot present accurately.
Why no exact numbers
We do not publish the cut-offs behind these factors. A published cut-off is something to aim at, and we would end up measuring who read this page instead of which collections are worth showing. The factors are fixed. The levels get reviewed as the ecosystem changes.
Meeting them is not a guarantee
Clearing these factors makes a collection worth considering. Nothing is added automatically, and curating one properly takes work: metadata, rarity, artwork, licensing. Where we list a collection that falls short on a factor, we record why.
